background

This is nothing special, well to you anyway. I'm not a scrapbook type, or a baby book writer, or even a picture printer. I'm terrible at recording memories. This blog is my attempt at holding on to some of my life as a Christian, a wife, and a homeschooling Mom of 5. I am a country girl that lived in a big city for 14 years, and moved to the Deep South for quiet, quaint, small town living.

Reasons for having a BIG family

1. No one ever says, "I come from a big UNhappy family."
2. One of my offspring is bound to take care of me when I'm old.
3. You always hear, "I wish I would have had another child."
4. You never hear, "Ooops, one too many.  Dang"
5. I like the power trip.  Err..... I mean, the children are just so adorable.
6. Tax Refunds!!!

  1. I'm from a family of 6 kids, and I love it...someone is usually around to do something with. AND I have 6 nephews and 3 nieces, so my parents aren't pressuring ME to have kids. I just think big families are great.

When I was little, I wanted 8 kids, and I was going to homeschool them all on the mission field. I'm not sure that'll happen, but God knows what he's doing, and I think he is honored by family (especially stable ones)!
