This is nothing special, well to you anyway. I'm not a scrapbook type, or a baby book writer, or even a picture printer. I'm terrible at recording memories. This blog is my attempt at holding on to some of my life as a Christian, a wife, and a homeschooling Mom of 5. I am a country girl that lived in a big city for 14 years, and moved to the Deep South for quiet, quaint, small town living.

Home Improvements

They go on forever! This is out 3rd year (and 2 days!) that we have lived in this house. It started out as a two apartment house an we have been working on making it the single family home it once was. With the help of friends and especially Troy's Dad, we have all the walls, pipes, stairs and floors where they should be. We are now finishing off a 2nd bathroom, and an entryway, but not without taking a break to build a deck. :) Yes, my Many husband says "Humph! What's a little sub zero weather!" Here are some pics of the backyard (in progess).

    Looks great! We bought a total fixer in May and the work seems to never end!
